ACRYLIC HEBREW
My heart breaks for what is happening in Israel
and my prayers pour out through my painting.
I am no Hebrew scholar, but exploring the original text can shed new light on familiar scriptures that I’ve known since childhood.
“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life.” This verse is from Psalm 23.
The Hebrew word translated “follow” is
R A D A P H
which means to chase after, to pursue.
God’s goodness and mercy do not follow us around like a little puppy dog. They hunt us down like a Lion hunts its prey. They pursue, capture and consume us. The divine love and grace of our Shepherd RADAPHs us all the way to heavens gates and into the arms of our waiting Father.
In the same way RADAPH was hidden within a familiar scripture, the word itself is hidden here within the layers of texture and paint on paper.
My prayer and my confidence for Israel is that
His goodness and mercy will continue to
pursue and consume them.
RADAPH is the first Hebrew word I have painted in this technique, but commissioned Hebrew is welcomed! Simply purchase below and
email me the word/s you would like me to
paint or your home.
...he makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters;
he restores my soul.
